Your Role at a Glance: The Lab Chemist will be responsible for conducting water sample analyses, generating technical documentation, and supporting customer sites to ensure safe and efficient chemical treatment protocols. Located in Kuantan, Pahang, this position integrates hands-on laboratory work with customer engagement, providing opportunities to collaborate with Service and Sales teams in the water treatment sector. Some of the Things You'll Do: - Perform water sample analyses to verify safety and quality, monitor treatment processes, and maintain laboratory equipment - Assess results, compile reports on discoveries and trends, and suggest improvements in treatment methodologies - Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to comply with regulatory requirements and eliminate potential contaminants - Manage chemical inventories and laboratory supplies - Diagnose root causes of water quality challenges and collaborate with Service Technicians, Engineers, and Account Managers for prompt resolution - Provide training and guidance to staff regarding laboratory best practices - Promote and enforce comprehensive safety protocols for all lab operations - Conduct regular maintenance and ensure laboratory cleanliness - Execute additional assigned responsibilities What You'll Bring to Us: - Higher Diploma or bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline - Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience preferred; fresh graduates with strong laboratory interest are encouraged to apply - Exceptional interpersonal capabilities with ability to effectively engage customers and enhance satisfaction - Willingness to support Sales and Service teams during chemical treatment program initiation and facility troubleshooting - Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools - Capability to prepare precise and comprehensive technical documentation - Flexibility to be based in Kuantan, Pahang, with readiness to support other petrochemical plant sites What We Offer: - Competitive health and wellness benefit package - Continuous professional development with extensive growth opportunities - Access to diverse internal and external training courses through our learning platform We recognize that candidates may not perfectly match every job requirement.
