Jobgether is hiring a Sr/Staff Infrastructure Software Engineer to design, build, and operate large-scale, hybrid cloud infrastructure supporting millions of daily transactions. You will work on backend services, APIs, and developer-facing tools for modern infrastructure platforms, combining virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and observability into scalable, reliable systems.

What You'll Do

Develop and operate cloud-native systems and services using GitOps workflows.
Build and maintain IaaS (compute, storage, networking), PaaS (databases, messaging, APIs, serverless), identity/access management, observability, alerting, and remediation systems.
Collaborate with internal application teams to improve platform usability and collect actionable feedback.
Design and operate systems that scale across data centers, edge devices, and public cloud environments.
Contribute to architectural decisions, participate in design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps best practices, and container-based development workflows.
Ensure infrastructure security, secrets management, and adherence to secure coding principles.

What We're Looking For

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
6+ years of experience in modern programming languages for infrastructure (e.g., Go, Python, Java).
5+ years working with IaaS, PaaS, service mesh, storage systems, and Linux environments.
3+ years with streaming data services and SQL/NoSQL/Graph databases.
Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
Experience with secure coding practices, identity/access management, and secrets management.
Proven ability to deliver platform improvements independently and collaborate across teams.
Strong communication and mentoring skills; experience contributing to architectural and design discussions.

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with public IaaS platforms (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean).
Familiarity with OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, DBaaS, service mesh, and API gateways.
Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects.
Experience with edge systems, hybrid environments, and developer tooling.
Knowledge of frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
