Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Technical Writer to join our mission-driven work in climate solutions. In this remote role, you will be the key voice transforming complex technical and regulatory information into clear, compelling content for a variety of audiences.
What You'll Do
- Develop and edit high-quality content including reports, research papers, policy documents, and blog posts.
- Translate complex regulatory and technical information into clear, compelling narratives.
- Collaborate across departments to align messaging, gather technical input, and maintain editorial standards.
- Lead multi-author editing processes to unify tone and structure across collaborative deliverables.
- Support the creation of proposals and RFP responses that drive business development initiatives.
- Work closely with creative teams to incorporate visual elements that enhance communication.
- Manage content libraries and assist colleagues with editorial questions, grammar, and formatting.
- Continuously deepen knowledge of clean energy topics, client goals, and strategic priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, journalism, philosophy, or another writing-intensive field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally related to civil engineering, energy, climate, or regulatory topics.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end writing projects and manage high-visibility deliverables independently.
- Exceptional editing and storytelling skills with a deep understanding of structure, tone, and technical clarity.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with academic publishing and citation practices.
- Strong command of digital collaboration tools including Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working remotely with multidisciplinary teams.
- A writing sample and copyediting test will be required as part of the hiring process.

- Slack, SharePoint, and Salesforce experience is a plus.
- A personal or professional commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility is strongly valued.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $92,000 – $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
