Meijer Stores LP is looking for a Sr Technical Product Owner - Backend E-Commerce to lead software initiatives that drive real business impact at the intersection of technology and people. You will partner with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to shape solutions, translating ideas into action and fostering collaboration.

What You'll Do

Partner with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to co-create a technical roadmap that aligns with strategic goals.
Act as a translator between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding.
Maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog that reflects business needs and technical opportunities.
Regularly refine backlog items based on team input and evolving priorities.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria that are easy to understand and inspire action.
Document workflows and requirements to support shared understanding and smooth execution.
Lead the execution of product features with a focus on quality, transparency, and team empowerment.
Facilitate agile ceremonies and foster an efficient, inclusive, and outcome-driven development process.
Proactively identify and resolve blockers, working with the team to find creative and sustainable solutions.
Continuously assess system performance and suggest enhancements for usability, scalability, and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years as a Technical Product Owner, Engineer, or Architect.
Experience with backend e-commerce systems.
Experience with modern architecture styles (e.g., microservices, event-driven).
Familiarity with Java (Spring Boot), GraphQL, Kafka, RESTful APIs, and relational/NoSQL databases.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
Experience in Agile environments and project management techniques.
A team-first mindset with a passion for building impactful products.
Ability to inspire trust, drive alignment, and create momentum across diverse teams.
Residence within Meijer's 6-state footprint (MI, WI, IL, IN, OH, KY) for remote position.
