This role is responsible for the stability, performance, and evolution of internal IT systems at a technical and operational level. The engineer will work across cloud and on-prem environments, ensuring seamless functionality of critical platforms and providing expert-level support to internal staff.
What You'll Do
- Deliver hands-on technical support for core infrastructure including Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
- Resolve complex issues involving Windows 10/11, Office applications, mobile devices, and desktop environments
- Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and identity management systems
- Manage and maintain Windows Server 2019/2022 environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain services
- Use ConnectWise Manage and ScreenConnect for ticketing, remote access, and service delivery
- Lead migration initiatives for email security, VOIP systems, and infrastructure transitions from on-premises to cloud or hybrid models
- Drive deployments from initial testing through to full production rollout, ensuring reliability and scalability
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in IT administration or systems engineering
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in technical and non-technical contexts
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Direct experience supporting end users across Windows and Microsoft Office platforms
- Strong background in managing Microsoft 365 components including Intune and Entra ID
- Working knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy management
- Familiarity with ConnectWise Manage and ScreenConnect for service operations
- Track record of leading data and platform migrations, including cloud transitions and security upgrades
- Experience guiding projects from concept to production deployment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in managed service provider (MSP) operations
- Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Support experience with third-party tools including Monday.com, Atlassian, AFI, Mimecast, and 1Password
- Hands-on work with Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Knowledge of cybersecurity platforms like Cavelo, ThreatLocker, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
