About the Role

Role OverviewJoin a specialized team delivering essential network services in a high-demand, forward-deployed setting. This position supports U.S. Army and AFRICOM operations by maintaining secure, resilient LAN, WAN, and ICAN networks in austere conditions. You will play a key role in ensuring continuous connectivity and cybersecurity compliance across dynamic operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage Cisco routers and switches using current IOS versions
  • Support COMSEC and VoIP provisioning and maintenance
  • Perform ongoing operations and maintenance for network systems serving a fluid user base
  • Collaborate with ISP and OSP technicians on cabling, trenching, and installation projects at remote and isolated locations
  • Ensure network assets comply with DoD cybersecurity standards, including patching and configuration management
  • Participate in rotational shifts within a Technical Control Facility to support 24/7/365 operations
  • Coordinate with site leads to maintain WAN circuit availability and performance
  • Install and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling in compliance with TEMPEST, Army Guide 3.15, and NSTISSI standards
  • Test cabling for signal integrity, throughput, and continuity
  • Produce network diagrams using Microsoft Visio or PowerPoint for accreditation and planning
  • Maintain current technical knowledge and required certifications

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and current Secret clearance with T5/SSBI investigation
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Cisco CCNA certification
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on day one of employment
  • ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire
  • Eligibility under local SOFA requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP provisioning and maintenance
  • Familiarity with IAVA compliance and vulnerability mitigation
  • Working knowledge of TACLANE and cryptographic device management
  • Experience with WAN circuits and Promina multiplexer systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNP certification
  • Juniper certification or hands-on experience
  • Project Management certification (Project+, CAPM, or PMP)
  • Degree in an IT-related field

Technical Environment

Work across a diverse infrastructure including Cisco IOS, VoIP systems, cryptographic devices, TACLANE, Promina multiplexers, fiber and copper cabling (CAT 5/6, RJ-45, RJ-11), MDFs, patch panels, media converters, modems, and UPS systems. Diagramming is supported through Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role in Har Keren, Israel, with full flexibility in workweeks where operationally feasible. The position supports international missions and may include relocation or transportation benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $93,662 – $115,000. International roles may include allowances, premium uplifts, and relocation or transportation support.
