Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Sr Staff Data Engineer to shape and maintain the backbone of our analytics ecosystem. You will design, build, and optimize data integration processes and dimensional data models that power critical insights, blending hands-on technical work with strategic input into platform evolution.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain data integration processes for both internal and external systems.
- Transform source data into dimensional data models that support business intelligence and analytics.
- Evaluate, configure, monitor, and maintain data integration tools in Linux-based environments (on-premises and cloud).
- Contribute to the selection and evolution of next-generation data warehouse and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data structures and model them appropriately in the analytics platform.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all platforms and integrations.
What We're Looking For
- Strong SQL programming expertise, including use of advanced analytic functions.
- Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling concepts (hierarchies, cardinality, slow-changing dimensions).
- Minimum 3 years of experience building and maintaining data warehouses.
- Proficiency with at least one data integration toolset (e.g., SnapLogic, dbt, Talend, Informatica).
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 13+ years of experience, or equivalent Master’s/PhD with relevant industry experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GCP BigQuery, Fivetran, dbt, SnapLogic, and Oracle Fusion preferred.

- Compensation: $149,000 – $248,300 annually.
