About the Role

Exact Sciences, a mission-driven company focused on earlier cancer detection, is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer II - Integrations. In this staff-level role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of multiple complex software applications, acting as a technical lead and mentor while being accountable for application quality.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of multiple complex software applications.
  • Troubleshoot high-complexity issues and problems for major software applications.
  • Act as a Technical Lead for the team, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Design lasting applications in collaboration with product teams.
  • Take full ownership of application quality and difficult designs that impact departmental delivery.
  • Contribute to, interpret, and communicate enterprise, technical, project, and operational strategies.
  • Build successful internal partnerships with peers, subject matter experts, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Consistently influence and make significant decisions across multiple projects.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering; or a High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert in 1 or more object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with RESTful web services, Relational Databases (Postgres, SQL Server), and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Entities Framework).
  • Experience designing and developing apps that utilize cloud-based frameworks (e.g., Azure, Amazon AWS Services/SDKs).
  • Experience with Agile development tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience with C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, .NET, Google Web Toolkit.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to code in Python at an expert level.
  • Experience with Next Generation Sequencing data analysis tools and workflows.

  • Compensation range of $121,000 - $206,000.
