RouteSmart Technologies Inc is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, code, and support web applications and services for our route optimization platform. In this role, you will contribute to cross-platform routing systems with GIS capabilities and ensure features are implemented accurately from the end-user perspective.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor other development staff in coordination with the Lead Software Engineer, including task assignment and review.
Keep the team up to date on the latest relevant technologies and recommend, prioritize, and integrate them into products.
Develop maintenance roadmaps for all development frameworks, libraries, and tools.
Write DDL and DML SQL commands, functions, and scripts.
Perform full-stack development for both client and server-side components.
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using software development best practices.
Identify and fix errors in code.
Write various back-end services for use by web designers.
Research new industry coding standards to improve the team's ability to create secure, high-quality applications.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
Experience with C# and .NET Core development using Visual Studio and other Microsoft development tools.
A minimum of 10+ years as a programmer writing both client and server-side components.
Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
Working knowledge of relational databases like Postgres or MS SQL and optimizing database queries.
Understanding of web application security, session management, and code development best practices.
Legal authorization to permanently live and work in the United States.

Nice to Have

Working knowledge of GIS and similar mapping services.

Salary Range: $115,000–$130,000 per year

Work Mode

This position is available as hybrid or remote. If hybrid, work locations are in Melville, NY or Columbia, MD.
