Veracyte is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using both declarative and programmatic tools. In this role, you will lead technical design, integrate Salesforce with external systems, and mentor junior developers to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions that support Veracyte’s mission to transform cancer care.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Visualforce, and declarative tools.
- Leverage Salesforce Flow, OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers), and other declarative tools to build complex business processes without code when appropriate.
- Translate functional requirements into high-quality technical solutions that align with platform best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, administrators, and other developers to deliver user-centric solutions.
- Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural input for Salesforce implementations.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, and optionally MuleSoft or AWS services.
- Ensure code quality, security, and maintainability through code reviews and best practices.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and actively contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Expert knowledge of Salesforce Flows, OmniStudio, Process Builder, and other declarative development tools
- Advanced expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD workflows
- Proven experience designing solutions that balance declarative and programmatic approaches
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security model, and data structure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with MuleSoft, AWS, or other integration/middleware platforms
- Knowledge of additional Salesforce clouds (e.g., Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Industries)
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (Developer II a plus)

Compensation: For San Diego: $155,000 - $174,000; South San Francisco: $184,000 - $204,000; Remote (US): $146,000 - $168,000.
Work Mode
