Delek US Holdings, Inc. is looking for a Sr Process Engineer who will leverage process fundamentals, equipment knowledge, and refinery best practices to ensure the facility's safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and optimal operation. You'll coordinate and influence these objectives using data-driven critical thinking.
What You'll Do
- Train, mentor, and coach less experienced process engineers.
- Provide troubleshooting and optimization assistance for operations on complex units.
- Conduct daily performance monitoring including mass balance, energy consumption, yields, and process unit health indicators.
- Generate, analyze, interpret, and disseminate performance indicators and unit operations data for assigned units.
- Evaluate catalyst usage and performance.
- Analyze and identify short- and long-term process changes to improve unit profitability and optimize efficiency.
- Conduct process operations analysis and economic evaluation using simulation software.
- Evaluate equipment design and process development to balance process requirements, economics, operator effectiveness, and environment/safety objectives.
- Present basic sections of operator process training classes, approve process portions in Management of Change (MOC) development, and perform process engineering duties in process hazard analyses (PHAs) on simple units.
- Develop and maintain critical cross-functional relationships (e.g., refinery economics, operations, lab, maintenance) to optimize unit performance to constraints.
- Employ industry best practices and standards to compare actual operation to intended process design.
What We're Looking For
- A 4-year / Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Required).
- Six (6) or more years of process engineering experience in the refining industry (Required).
