Responsibilities
- Lead technical development for small molecule process engineering projects
- Design and optimize scalable manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process robustness
- Support technology transfer from lab to production scale
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot process-related issues in manufacturing
- Develop process control strategies and documentation
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in process efficiency
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in process engineering
- Proven track record in small molecule pharmaceutical development
- Strong understanding of chemical process scale-up
- Experience with process safety and hazard analysis
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and compliance
- Proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools
- Project management skills with ability to lead teams
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in engineering or physical sciences
- Experience in green chemistry or sustainable manufacturing
- Knowledge of continuous manufacturing processes
- Leadership in multi-site or global projects
- Experience with regulatory submissions
