Flock Safety is hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting to oversee key aspects of the general ledger, coordinate the close cycle, and drive process improvements. You will report to the Senior Director of Accounting and manage a team of accountants and an accounting manager, partnering closely with teams like FP&A and Revenue Accounting.

What You'll Do

Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting flux analyses.
Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
Manage the implementation of new tools and continued optimization of NetSuite and related system integrations to drive automation and efficiency.
Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Partner with the Technical Accounting team to implement and operationalize new accounting standards and maintain compliance.
Coordinate with accounting providers for the Finland subsidiary, intercompany billing and statutory audit requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure accounting is a visible and timely partner.
Lead and mentor accounting team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
Generate and review audit-ready workpapers and serve as key point of contact in external audits.
Help drive the evolution of accounting systems and processes to support rapid growth.
Lead or support special projects, including implementation of process automations and AI tools to scale operations efficiently.
Build scalable processes and controls that support audit readiness and future SOX compliance.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA.
10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and accounting leadership.
People management experience.
Expertise in NetSuite, FloQast, and P2P systems.
Strong proficiency in Excel and problem solving within financial datasets.
Ability to balance analytical rigor with strategic thinking.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellence and compliance.

Nice to Have

Implementation experience with NetSuite, FloQast, P2P systems strongly preferred.
Exposure to additional tools such as asset modules, CRMs, Commission Tools, Workiva and Gaapify.

Team & Environment

You will manage a team of accountants and an accounting manager, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Accounting. The role involves close collaboration with FP&A, HR, Business Systems, Revenue Accounting, Tax, and Technical and Operational accounting teams.

Salary range: $125,000 and $170,000 + equity via Flock Safety Stock Options.
