About the Role
Oversee cyber threat research initiatives to detect, analyze, and report on advanced threats targeting financial services. Translate technical findings into strategic intelligence for security and business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Direct a team of analysts conducting in-depth research on cyber threat actors and campaigns
- Develop methodologies to identify adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Produce actionable intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences
- Collaborate with incident response and detection teams to improve threat visibility
- Monitor dark web and underground forums for early indicators of compromise
- Maintain awareness of geopolitical and cybercrime trends affecting the sector
- Lead threat-hunting initiatives based on intelligence findings
- Evaluate and integrate open-source and commercial threat intelligence tools
- Establish metrics to measure team performance and impact
- Mentor team members and support professional development
- Coordinate with external threat intelligence sharing groups
- Ensure research aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Drive automation of repetitive analysis tasks
- Present findings to senior stakeholders and security leadership
- Stay current with evolving attack vectors and malware trends
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in cybersecurity or related discipline
- Experience with cloud-based threat environments
- Background in malware development or offensive security
- Fluency in foreign languages relevant to cyber threat regions
- Public speaking at security conferences
