CrossCountry Mortgage is hiring a Sr. Loan Processor to provide exceptional customer service by managing the documentation and underwriting preparation for residential mortgage loans. You will operate within Mountain and Pacific time zones to support the Pacific region, ensuring all processes adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
What You'll Do
- Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets before submitting to underwriting.
- Assemble the complete loan package in proper order and verify all required documentation.
- Complete required loan checklists and prepare accurate loan approval summaries and forms.
- Verify application completeness, identify potential underwriting issues, and prepare required disclosures.
- Communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter to obtain initial and missing documentation.
- Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.).
- Communicate with vendors to obtain Property Surveys, Flood Certificates, Title Commitments, and payoff information.
- Verify vendor orders are complete and invoices are filed.
- Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times.
- Assist with loan setup and document all communication in the conversation log.
- Train and help supervise new loan processors and other processing personnel.
- Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing to clear outstanding suspense items.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
- Encompass experience.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, and loan documents.
