e-Storage, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar SSES (US) Inc., seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team and support the rapid growth of its utility-scale energy storage business unit. This role will primarily focus on project contracts while handling a variety of other legal matters.

What You'll Do

Provide legal advice on construction, corporate, and commercial law matters to support the US energy storage business unit.
Negotiate and draft EPC agreements, equipment supply agreements, subcontractor agreements, long-term services agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, product warranties, performance guarantees, and other contracts.
Assist with project management and execution, including drafting legal notices and change orders, interpreting contract language, and providing strategic advice.
Manage litigation and dispute resolution as needed.
Maintain clear, consistent communication with stakeholders, including customers, vendors, EPCs, and utilities.
Coordinate and supervise outside counsel to balance legal costs with business goals.

What We're Looking For

Strong academic credentials and a license to practice law in the United States.
At least 5 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction and infrastructure contracts at a top-tier law firm and/or in-house.
Knowledge of anti-dumping/countervailing duties (AD/CVD), tariffs, OFAC, CFIUS, UFLPA, and other trade-related regulatory matters.
Experience and willingness to lead negotiations of complex commercial contracts.
Willingness and ability to travel 5–15% of the time.

Nice to Have

Experience working in the energy industry, ideally in renewable energy and/or energy storage.
In-depth understanding of United States renewable energy incentives (IRA tax credits) and compliance regulations (OBBBA).

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the General Counsel.

Compensation range of $195,000 - $250,000 plus an annual bonus, with the range varying by location.
