About the Role
This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, supporting budget development, and providing insights to leadership. The individual will work closely with department leaders to monitor performance and drive financial planning accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements and operational data to assess performance trends
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership review
- Support the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with department managers to gather financial inputs and assumptions
- Identify variances between actual and projected results and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain financial models for forecasting and scenario planning
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial data reporting
- Assist in the preparation of board-level financial presentations
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide performance summaries
- Contribute to process improvements in financial planning systems
- Support audit activities by providing required documentation and analysis
- Track grant funding and program-specific financial performance
- Evaluate cost structures and recommend efficiency improvements
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis for strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Work with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational plans
- Update financial dashboards and reporting tools
- Assist in the implementation of new financial software or systems
- Standardize reporting templates across departments
- Maintain documentation for financial processes and assumptions
- Participate in year-end closing procedures
