Leica Biosystems is seeking a Sr. Field Applications Specialist - Life Sciences to provide in-field technical applications support for automated histopathology products. This role is crucial for achieving regional sales goals and supporting customers in clinical and research laboratories.
What You'll Do
- Drive Leica to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual unit and reagent goals for respective products.
- Train and mentor other Application Specialists on new product technologies and their applications in diagnostic and research environments.
- Share technical and industry knowledge through conference calls and presentations.
- Design and perform experiments to investigate and solve mid-level and complex technical applications problems.
- Work with Sales personnel and Field Service Engineers to drive customer relationships within the assigned geography.
- Take an active leadership role in regional projects.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS in Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of the histology marketplace or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of Histology laboratory experience in a clinical, research, or industrial setting.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the optimization, operation, and support of manual and automated IHC instrumentation preferred.
- 75% travel, including overnight within the region.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
