Sedgwick is looking for a Sr. Executive General Adjuster to join our team in the Rocky Mountain Region. This role involves investigating complex personal, casualty, and property losses on national and international accounts. You will assess coverage, determine liability, and resolve high-value claims.
What You'll Do
- Handle complex losses locally without assistance up to a designated authority.
- Assist on larger losses, including accounting-based claims like business interruption and stock.
- Examine claim forms and records to determine insurance coverage.
- Interview claimants and witnesses and consult police and hospital records.
- Inspect property damage to determine the extent of the company's liability.
- Estimate the cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.
- Prepare reports of findings and negotiate settlements with claimants.
- Recommend litigation when a settlement cannot be negotiated and attend hearings.
- Revise case reserves in assigned files to cover probable costs.
- Prepare loss experience reports to help determine profitability.
- Support the organization's quality programs.
- Travel as required.
What We're Looking For
- Must have earned the IIA-AIC designation.
- Must be actively pursuing another professional insurance designation.
- Appropriate state adjuster license is required.
- Five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for long periods, kneel, squat, bend, and work outdoors in varied weather.
- Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds and drive up to 4 hours per day.
- Continual use of manual dexterity.
- Excellent judgment, discretion, and clear conceptual thinking.
- Ability to handle work-related stress and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment and meet performance competencies.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
