Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing project management team, focusing on performance, engagement, growth, and retention.
- Coach and guide multiple Directors to ensure consistent leadership, accountability, and management standards across all project managers.
- Support career progression, performance evaluations, succession planning, and clear role definitions for project managers at every level.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, recognition programs, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Promote core organizational values to foster a culture of excellence within the project services function.
- Manage the execution of mid-year and annual performance review cycles for the project services team.
- Define and maintain standardized project management practices to ensure reliable and high-quality project outcomes.
- Enforce consistent use of project delivery methods, controls, and reporting across all projects.
- Encourage a customer-centric approach within the project management community through leadership and feedback.
- Provide executive-level oversight and support for complex or struggling projects to enable timely recovery.
- Work with governance teams to maintain compliance and ensure prompt follow-through on required actions.
- Align project services strategy with broader business objectives by collaborating with delivery, domain, and sales teams.
- Coordinate with the Americas resourcing team to manage staffing, utilization, and capacity planning for project managers.
- Partner with global development centers and regional leads to refine staffing strategies and match project needs with appropriate PM skills.
- Balance workforce planning to support efficient utilization, employee well-being, and delivery quality.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as utilization rates, project health, and delivery success metrics.
- Hold teams accountable for improving performance, skill development, certifications, and progress toward development goals.
- Oversee performance reporting for project services, including regular business rhythm updates.
- Analyze performance data to detect trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across projects.
- Lead initiatives that enhance delivery quality, operational maturity, and scalability of project services.
- Serve as a strategic influencer in project management, driving innovation in tools, processes, and work practices.
- Support change initiatives related to delivery transformation, business growth, and innovation efforts.
