NC Health Affiliates LLC DBA Blue Cross NC is hiring a Senior AI/ML Scientist to identify, research, and develop transformational AI solutions. In this role, you will translate structured and unstructured data into sound organizational decisions by creating impactful self-learning applications and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate AI technologies into real-world systems.
What You'll Do
- Own delivery of large and/or complex machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and Generative AI (GenAI) systems with self-learning capabilities.
- Design, implement, and evaluate artificial intelligence (AI) systems for production environments.
- Apply prescriptive analytics techniques like optimization, recommendation systems, and reinforcement learning to business problems.
- Lead the development, testing, and optimization of ML algorithms, design experiments, and analyze data.
- Stay updated with and adapt new AI, ML, and GenAI advancements to solve business problems.
- Benchmark against existing methods and analyze results to identify improvements.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations for new AI technologies.
- Lead consultation sessions with business partners to distill needs and provide technical guidance on AI approaches.
- Drive continuous improvement by experimenting with novel techniques and refining existing models.
- Leverage deep software engineering principles to construct sophisticated ML models.
- Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence business direction by communicating results to cross-functional groups.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
