Oversee comprehensive accounting operations across several senior living properties, ensuring precise financial records and strict adherence to U.S. GAAP. This position plays a key role in managing the complete accounting cycle, from journal entries to financial statement preparation, with a focus on resident billing, intercompany transactions, and month-end close procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle accounting tasks including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, accruals, and financial reporting
- Record and review journal entries for monthly close, payroll allocations, management fees, utilities, and intercompany activity
- Administer resident billing processes, tracking move-ins, move-outs, and changes in care levels
- Reconcile and verify balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for consistency and accuracy
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
- Partner with on-site and regional teams to ensure reliable property-level financial data
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
- Lead process enhancements to improve accounting efficiency and data integrity
- Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff to promote team growth and consistency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior living or similar healthcare accounting environments
- Direct background in multi-entity accounting structures
- Proficiency with complex journal entries and month-end close workflows
- Strong familiarity with resident billing systems and senior living operational models
- Demonstrated track record in full-cycle accounting across multiple properties
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and commitment to compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting
