What You'll Do
Perform thorough assessments of pediatric patients to identify speech, language, and communication needs, using findings to shape personalized intervention strategies. Work directly with children and their families to establish achievable goals that reflect each patient’s unique developmental path.
Design and implement treatment plans that address individual challenges, regularly measuring progress and adjusting approaches as needed. Share updates and clinical insights with physicians, therapists, nurses, and social workers to support coordinated care.
Document evaluations, therapy sessions, and outcomes accurately and promptly using the clinic’s electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure all records meet clinical and insurance requirements while maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
Help sustain a safe and supportive clinical environment by following established protocols and adhering to legal and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience in pediatric speech and language assessment and therapy
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children and families
- Proficiency with EMR systems for clinical documentation
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team
