U-Haul is hiring a Specialty Equipment Manager - Hartford

About the Role

U-Haul is seeking a field-based Specialty Equipment Manager in Hartford to promote and sell surgical ophthalmic products and specialized clinical equipment. You will be responsible for driving long-term revenue growth by building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and achieving sales targets for products like the Voyager™ DSLT and Valeda® Light Delivery System.

What You'll Do

  • Drive face-to-face sales for high-value clinical equipment in specialty and general ophthalmic clinics.
  • Promote the adoption of associated treatment packages to maximize account value and patient benefit.
  • Develop clinic workflow strategies to optimize productivity through product consumable pull-through.
  • Identify strategic opportunities within accounts and execute tailored sales strategies to exceed revenue targets.
  • Build strong relationships with clinical stakeholders to support product adoption and sustained usage.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, proposals, and hands-on demonstrations that highlight clinical and economic value.
  • Provide post-sale training and support to ensure successful implementation and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical specialists, and service teams to support promotional efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and customer interactions using Salesforce.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to effectively position offerings.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Sales experience in ophthalmology, capital sales, and/or clinic-based environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Willingness to travel as required within the assigned territory (up to 35%)
