About the Role
The role involves developing and maintaining space segment architectures, supporting mission design, and ensuring system-level performance across satellite operations and ground integration.
Responsibilities
- Develop system architectures for satellite constellations
- Perform link budget analysis for space-to-ground communications
- Support mission concept development and feasibility studies
- Model orbital dynamics and coverage performance
- Coordinate technical requirements between subsystem teams
- Validate system performance against mission objectives
- Contribute to spacecraft payload design and integration
- Analyze telemetry data for system health monitoring
- Support launch and early orbit phase operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and spectrum requirements
- Develop test procedures for space segment validation
- Participate in design reviews and technical audits
- Troubleshoot cross-system integration issues
- Maintain system-level documentation and interface definitions
- Optimize communication protocols for low Earth orbit environments
- Evaluate new technologies for space segment enhancement
- Assist in ground station network planning
- Produce technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with software and RF engineering teams
- Support end-to-end system simulations
- Monitor evolving standards in satellite communications
- Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation plans
- Interface with external partners on system-level deliverables
- Ensure scalability of system designs for future expansion
- Maintain awareness of spectrum allocation and orbital slot constraints
