In this role, you’ll leverage in-depth knowledge of destinations including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Lesotho to design tailored itineraries that reflect both client desires and responsible travel principles.
What You’ll Do
- Turn qualified inquiries into confirmed high-value bookings and foster repeat engagement through exceptional service delivery.
- Design detailed, personalized travel plans that reflect seasonal conditions, lodge offerings, and logistical precision.
- Build rapid rapport with international travelers by demonstrating empathy, cultural awareness, and destination expertise.
- Stay current on lodge inventory, pricing structures, and regional dynamics to ensure accurate, compelling proposals.
- Maintain rigorous standards in CRM documentation, communication, and itinerary accuracy.
- Manage your sales pipeline with autonomy while aligning with team protocols and performance goals.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless client experiences from inquiry to post-trip follow-up.
- Advance organizational values around conservation, sustainability, and community impact through travel design.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in luxury travel, bespoke safari planning, or high-end travel sales.
- Proven success in converting inquiries and driving revenue in a client-facing role.
- Strong familiarity with Southern Africa’s safari destinations and premium lodge portfolio.
- Proficiency with itinerary and CRM platforms such as Wetu or Tourplan.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commercial awareness, including margins, conversion metrics, and profitability drivers.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with diverse global clients.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in all deliverables.
- Self-motivated work style with the ability to thrive remotely and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Demonstrated passion for Africa, conservation, and creating transformative travel experiences.
Preferred Background
- A degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing is a plus.
- Additional language skills in German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch are advantageous.
