GE HealthCare is looking for a Sourcing FLIGHT DECK Leader to drive the integration and advancement of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model within the procurement function at GE Aerospace. In this role, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
What You'll Do
- Champion the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, respect for people, and servant leadership.
- Define and manage the implementation of lean standards and processes, ensuring seamless integration of FLIGHT DECK principles.
- Drive operational excellence by utilizing lean tools and methodologies to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Utilize change management skills to lead transformation efforts, coaching and mentoring teams and leadership in lean principles.
- Lead and facilitate kaizen events, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Continuously develop the lean strategy within the procurement function and execute comprehensive lean training programs.
- Work across the organizational matrix to align strategy and vision with business process improvements.
- Define, track, and report on KPIs and/or TTIs, driving measurable improvements within PSM operations.
- Act as a change agent in implementing demand flow and utilizing lean tools to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring technology and processes are positioned for success.
- Execute items on the Kaizen Roadmap, identify process improvement opportunities, and support process team operating cadence activities.
- Apply problem-solving techniques and champion other FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to deliver meaningful improvements.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and/or applying lean methods (e.g., Value Stream Management, Cell Design, 5S, Kaizen, Leader Standard Work, Problem Solving, Kanban, lean transformations).
Team & Environment
This role is embedded within the Supply Chain Procurement & Supplier Management (PSM) Value Stream team. You will work closely with the Value Stream leader, Process Owners, and Business SMEs.
