Lead talent strategy through data and insight in a role that bridges research, analytics, and recruitment for AbbVie’s R&D function. You will design and present external talent landscape analyses that inform hiring plans, identify market opportunities, and shape long-term capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive talent insights to guide leadership decisions, recruitment forecasting, and strategic workforce planning across R&D.
- Design and present detailed talent mapping projects that assess availability, competition, and sourcing opportunities in key scientific and technical domains.
- Lead proactive sourcing for high-impact roles using Boolean search, LinkedIn, SeekOut, and industry databases to identify and engage passive candidates.
- Apply advanced research and data analysis methods to support recruiters, hiring managers, and HR business partners with evidence-based recommendations.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines ahead of openings, ensuring readiness for critical positions in competitive markets.
- Conduct initial candidate screening and coordinate outreach using Talent Acquisition platforms to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Talent Acquisition, Business HR, and R&D to understand functional needs and align sourcing strategies with business goals.
- Strengthen candidate engagement by maintaining ongoing communication and sharing relevant opportunities as they arise.
- Report regularly on sourcing performance, pipeline health, and talent market trends to internal partners.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of three years in dedicated sourcing or retained search, preferably within R&D or scientific functions. You must demonstrate experience in creating and presenting complex talent intelligence projects and possess a proven ability to develop sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
Strong skills in candidate assessment, Boolean search, and CRM platforms are essential. Prior experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical R&D sourcing is advantageous. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-oriented, and committed to continuous learning in talent acquisition and market analysis.
