Kilo Code is hiring its first Solutions Engineer. You will partner directly with Sales to run demos and POCs, translate customer pain into product insight, and ensure customers see value from day one. You will help define pre-sales and post-sales engineering motions and act as a leader and connective tissue between the field and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Partner directly with Sales to run high-leverage demos and POCs.
- Translate customer pain into clear, actionable product insight for engineering teams.
- Ensure customers see value from Kilo Code from day one.
- Help define how Kilo Code does pre-sales and post-sales engineering.
- Run customer demos and tailor proofs of concept.
- Help sales shape proposals that close deals.
- Guide customer onboarding, surface early wins, and ensure customers see value fast.
- Take ownership of the weekly Voice of the Customer internal newsletter.
- Stand up the first version of Kilo’s Solutions Engineering motion (demo library, templates, talk tracks, feedback loops).
- Lead customer onboarding and capture referenceable success stories.
- Have a seat at the table in shaping Kilo Code's GTM motion.
What We're Looking For
- Technical fluency in AI dev tooling: prompting, model selection, evaluation, and how developers use LLMs.
- Pre-sales expertise: running demos, tailoring proofs of concept, helping sales shape proposals.
- Post-sales follow-through: guiding onboarding, surfacing early wins, ensuring customer value.
- Customer translation skill: turning complex technical conversations into clear asks for product and engineering.
- Bias for action and moving deals, feedback, and insights forward.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling or implementing developer tools or AI platforms.
- Understanding of open-core business models and how community converts to enterprise.
- Having built demo environments, templates, or technical collateral for sales teams.
- Comfort presenting to both executives and engineers.
- A track record of helping shape GTM motions at early-stage startups.
Team & Environment
You will be the first Solutions Engineer in a 15-person engineering org, partnering directly with Sales and working closely with engineering teams.
Work Mode
This is a remote-first role with flexible location. Candidates in US or Western Europe time zones are preferred.
