Atria Physician Practice New York PC is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Product to provide cross-team technical leadership and drive complex initiatives. In this senior individual contributor role, you will be instrumental in building the technology that supports our membership-based preventive health care practice, which aims to optimize lifespan and healthspan through meticulous screening and tailored interventions.
What You'll Do
- Work with product managers, designers, and clinical leaders to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical strategies and execution plans.
- Own end-to-end delivery for complex initiatives that cut across multiple product teams and services.
- Personally execute on the highest-priority and most technically challenging projects.
- Define and evolve the architecture for core product areas like member journeys, clinical workflows, and care coordination.
- Design APIs, data models, and integration patterns that enable efficient building of new clinical and member experiences.
- Drive SLOs, capacity planning, and incident-ready designs to raise the bar on reliability and performance.
- Embed meaningful unit/functional tests, contract tests, and automated checks into designs.
- Ensure new features are instrumented with high-quality analytics in Mixpanel with consistent event schemas.
- Work with Product and Data to set up dashboards that reflect real user and clinical outcomes.
- Drive post-incident reviews and systemic improvements.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design guidance, pairing, and thoughtful code review.
- Help define and uphold engineering standards for coding, architecture, and documentation.
- Model a pragmatic, product-focused mindset that balances high standards with iterative delivery.
What We're Looking For
- ~8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time as a senior/staff IC building product experiences.
- A track record of owning and shipping multi-team projects in modern web stacks.
- Experience working closely with product and design on user-facing features.
- Comfort leading technical decisions in ambiguous domains and defending them with clear tradeoffs.
- Strong full-stack skills from API and data model design to UI and monitoring.
- Deep familiarity with at least one cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong instincts around systems design considering reliability, performance, security, and cost.
- Excellent debugging and incident-response skills with logs, traces, and data.
- Proven ability to lead through influence, aligning multiple teams on technical direction.
- Comfort working in a highly cross-functional environment with clinicians, operations, and research.
- Clear written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enjoy mentoring and leveling up the people around you.
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated domains like HIPAA, PHI, or SOC 2.
- Exposure to EHRs, Wearables Integrations, or other health data platforms.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $200,000–$280,000, depending on location.
