About the Role

Ottimate is hiring a Solution Engineer to bridge the gap between sales and technology. You will perform in-depth technical demonstrations of the Ottimate solution and provide pre-sales expertise to help close deals, focusing on payments automation and ERP integrations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical sales process, providing pre and post-sales technical expertise on payments technology and ERP integrations.
  • Build and present powerful, tailored demos and technical presentations that communicate Ottimate’s value proposition.
  • Answer technical sales-related questions with confidence, knowledge, and credibility.
  • Assist the Sales team in pre-sales discovery to understand customer pain points, outcomes, and requirements.
  • Remove barriers and overcome objections to secure the technical win in complex opportunities.
  • Leverage technical expertise to assist sales teams in upselling new products to existing customers.
  • Coordinate internal cross-functional resources to help close deals.
  • Gather customer feedback and act as the 'voice of the customer' to enhance the product.
  • Stay current on industry and competitive trends, communicating market challenges to leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal technical resources to improve the client demonstration environment.
  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet customer needs.
  • Attend and present at trade shows and user conferences as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • BA/BS degree with 3+ years’ experience as a SaaS solution engineer or sales consultant in payments automation or ERP integration.
  • Excellent technical aptitude with ability to clearly convey highly technical concepts to all audiences.
  • Executive presence with strong presentation skills, business acumen, and ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrations with ERP systems.
  • Strong problem solver with an innate ability to navigate obstacles and design innovative solutions.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage time efficiently and drive results.
  • Player Coach with ability to build process and strategy from the ground up and hire a team.
  • Familiarity with B2B technology applications and how payments technology platforms serve businesses.

  • Accounting, Finance, or CPA credentials.
