Prudential is hiring a Solution Architecture Engineer

Prudential is hiring a Vice President, Solution Architecture Engineer to support our Japan Technology Platform Foundations organization. In this role, you will partner with enterprise technology service providers across the Chief Technology Office, Information Security, and senior leadership in the US and Japan to oversee the rollout of Foundational Technology Capabilities. You will act as a technical expert, bringing strong problem solving, communication, and agile ways of working to this critical function.

What You'll Do

• Partner with enterprise technology service providers across the Chief Technology Office, Information Security, and senior business and technology leadership across the US and Japan to oversee the rollout of Foundational Technology Capabilities.
• Work with Development and Infrastructure teams across Prudential to coordinate the roll-out of a unified Identity and Access Management platform integrated with all applications.
• Oversee Risk Remediation and other efforts to improve the reliability and resilience of the environment.
• Support API management frameworks and integration with existing and future applications.
• Assist in setting up an architecture and process for future business capabilities.
• Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
• Translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions and emerging industry trends in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
• Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
• Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.
• Significant experience/deep expertise with User Authentication and authorization technologies in complex multi-national multi-domain regulated environments.
• Significant experience/deep expertise with Full Stack application development.
• Significant experience/deep expertise with Modern CI/CD practices including automated code quality and unit testing tooling.
• Significant experience/deep expertise with Modern secure API management tooling and frameworks.
• Proven track record of delivering technological solutions in international markets, balancing local needs and flexibility with global capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields.
• Experience with Claude Code or similar Agentic development tools.
• Prior experience supporting technology for users in Japan.

• Salary range: $221,900.00 to $333,000.00.
