VSolvit is hiring a Lead Solution Architect to enable innovative digital healthcare solutions. You will work with design, research, product management, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into actionable architecture runways.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the technical architecture expert for a single value stream, ensuring successful product deliveries.
- Manage the evolution of architectural roadmaps for your domain, planning new feature releases and updates while paying down technical debt.
- Evaluate product requirements for technical feasibility, risks, and blockers, leading solution discussions.
- Design overall solutions, engaging with architecture colleagues on UI, API, service logic, integration strategy, and technical blueprints.
- Communicate and present solutions to business partners, leadership, and engineering teams.
- Lead Proof-Of-Concepts, Spike Solutions, and provide Reference Architectures and Baseline Implementations.
- Evaluate new technologies and vendors, conducting hands-on POCs on emerging tech.
- Provide guidance to developers and stakeholders on architectural best practices, guidelines, and standards.
- Provide direction and mentorship to Architects.
- Guide the design of server applications, including APIs, micro-services, domain driven design, containers, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Articulate all Non-Functional Requirements (performance, availability, scalability, security) and ensure delivered software meets these objectives.
- Participate in high-level estimation.
- Mentor junior engineers and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience with service API, caching, web components, content management, web security, SSR/CSR, microservices, and identity management concepts.
- 5+ years of hands-on, consumer-facing enterprise application development experience.
- 3+ years of experience architecting solutions for Cloud (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
Nice to Have
- Experience and proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies.
- Experience designing and developing complex systems and user interfaces.
- Experience with requirements analysis, estimation, systems/application design, and testing.
- Experience with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.
- Experience driving a build vs. buy evaluation to completion.
- Experience with JavaScript/ECMAScript ES6/ES7/ES8 and UI Middleware.
- Experience with packaging, bundling technologies, and library management tools.
- Experience with CircleCI, CI/CD Pipeline, GIT, and other DevOps principles.
- Experience with responsive, adaptive UI design and development.
- Experience with SAFE practices or ability to work in SAFE and agile methodologies.
- Experience related to security-oriented projects.
- Experience with modern API patterns and building well-designed APIs.
