Lead Solution Architect who bridges business requirements with technical implementation by defining architecture roadmaps and collaborating across design, research, product, and engineering teams. Focuses on delivering innovative digital healthcare solutions using cloud-native technologies and modern engineering methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical authority for a specific value stream, ensuring architectural alignment and successful delivery of products
- Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps that guide feature releases and updates, prioritizing reduction of technical debt with minimal operational impact
- Assess product requirements and vision for technical feasibility, identifying risks, blockers, and leading solution design discussions
- Collaborate with peer architects on user interface, API, and service-level design, including workflow logic, integration strategies, and system blueprints
- Present and communicate technical solutions to both business stakeholders and leadership, while aligning engineering teams around implementation plans
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and spike solutions, delivering reference architectures and baseline implementations when applicable
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors through hands-on prototyping and testing
- Advise developers and stakeholders on architectural standards, best practices, and design principles, while promoting consistent adoption across teams
- Mentor and guide other architects and junior engineers, fostering technical growth and continuous improvement
- Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, and security are defined and met in all delivered systems
- Participate in high-level estimation activities for project planning and delivery forecasting
- Provide strategic direction on server-side application design including APIs, microservices, domain-driven design, containers, databases, and cloud platforms
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with core technical concepts including APIs, caching, web components, content management, web security, server-side and client-side rendering, microservices, and identity management
- At least 3 years of experience designing cloud-based solutions on major platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS
Nice to Have
- Proficiency with modern programming languages, frameworks, and emerging technologies
- Proven experience designing and building complex systems and user interfaces using structured methodologies
- Background in requirements analysis, estimation, system design, and testing
- Understanding of distributed computing concepts including concurrency, parallelism, and race condition management
- Experience leading build versus buy decision processes to conclusion
- Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and modern ECMAScript versions (ES6–ES8), along with UI middleware
- Familiarity with packaging and bundling tools, and library dependency management
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines, CircleCI, GIT, and DevOps practices
- Skills in responsive and adaptive user interface design and implementation
- Working knowledge of SAFe or experience operating within agile frameworks
- Involvement in security-focused projects or initiatives
- Understanding of modern API design patterns and best practices for building robust, maintainable APIs
