Intelassist is seeking a SolidWorks Detailer to provide dedicated support for a U.S.-based client in the high-end metal fabrication industry. In this role, you will be the key link between design concepts and physical fabrication, translating creative ideas into precise, actionable technical drawings.

What You'll Do

Develop initial conceptual drawings from loose input provided by architects.
Create unique designs for each project, referencing prior work while ensuring visual and structural differentiation.
Update drawings based on site measurements collected by the client's internal team.
Finalize all documentation to be fully ready for fabrication.
Manage comprehensive revision cycles based on feedback from clients, architects, and internal teams.
Participate actively in design reviews and feedback discussions with the client's team.
Maintain meticulously organized records of all drawing versions and revision history.
Handle all project files with the highest level of confidentiality under NDA.

What We're Looking For

A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent technical training.
5+ years of relevant experience in drafting, design, or fabrication, with a preference for architectural metalwork.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including creating models, assemblies, and fabrication-level drawings.
Required experience with Autodesk Fusion.
Demonstrated skill in producing shop drawings for custom builds or structural metalwork.
Expertise in 2D detailing, weld callouts, BOMs, and professional drawing layout.
Familiarity with standard revision workflows, including handling redlines and markups.
A reliable internet connection and a workstation capable of managing large assemblies.
Excellent attention to detail, version control discipline, and clear communication skills.
Willingness to work Pacific Time hours to collaborate effectively with the U.S.-based team.

Nice to Have

Prior experience supporting U.S.-based construction or fabrication firms.
A background working on decorative or architectural metal elements like railing systems, panels, or fire features.
Familiarity with coatings, finishes, or field-installation tolerances.
