About the Role

At Alstom, we're looking for a Software Team Lead to join our team in Helsinki. In this meaningful leadership role, you will guide a team of full‑stack developers as you design, build, and deliver high‑quality, scalable, and secure web and application solutions. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA specialists, and UX designers, translating complex needs into elegant technical solutions while nurturing a positive and high‑performing team culture.

What You'll Do

  • Lead full‑stack development across front‑end, back‑end, APIs, and databases
  • Help shape and review system architectures to support scalability, performance, and security
  • Offer hands‑on development support when needed
  • Mentor and coach developers to help them grow and succeed
  • Coordinate tasks, balance workloads, and support team productivity
  • Ensure high‑quality applications through testing, monitoring, and performance improvements
  • Encourage continuous improvement in both development processes and team ways of working
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet key project milestones
  • Promote secure coding standards and data‑protection best practices

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • A proven track record of leading software development teams
  • Strong hands‑on experience with C++ and C#
  • Expertise in .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, and modern C++ (C++11+)
  • Experience with front‑end technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or Angular
  • A good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of secure coding, debugging, and performance profiling
  • A supportive leadership style with experience mentoring development teams
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and confidence in decision‑making
  • An agile mindset with experience in Scrum or Kanban environments

  • Languages: C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Frameworks & Platforms: .NET / .NET Core, ASP.NET, Web APIs, React, Angular
  • Databases: Relational databases, NoSQL databases
  • Tools & Practices: CI/CD pipelines, Git

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA specialists, and UX designers in a cross‑functional setting.
