Liberator Medical Supply, Inc. is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team in the design, development, and delivery of innovative medical device software solutions. You will play a critical part in shaping the product roadmap and ensuring high quality and performance of our healthcare technology.

What You'll Do

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 5-10 software engineers.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle adhering to medical device regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and other cross-functional teams to define project scope, technical requirements, and timelines.
Drive architectural decisions, technology selection, and best practices ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Conduct regular code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Manage project priorities, resources, and risks.
Champion agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and optimize team processes.
Participate in strategic planning for software development and contribute to technology roadmaps.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.
At least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven experience managing software development teams, preferably within medical device or other regulated industries.
Strong technical background with expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java, Python) and software architecture principles.
Familiarity with medical device software development lifecycle processes and regulatory compliance (e.g., IEC 62304, FDA design control).
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Git).

Nice to Have

Solid understanding of embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and hardware/software integration.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
