At Trellis, we're looking for a Software Engineering Lead, Affiliate Engineering to own all technical relationships and integrations with our affiliate partners. Reporting to Thomas Boquet, Head of Real-Time Bidding, your mission is to ensure our real-time bidding infrastructure seamlessly connects with affiliate platforms, accurately processes inbound data, and maintains high integration reliability and performance.
What You'll Do
- Own all technical relationships and integrations with affiliate partners as the primary technical point of contact.
- Ensure affiliate partnerships are deeply integrated, high-performing, and continuously improving.
- Seamlessly connect with dozens of affiliate platforms to access broad, high-quality inventory.
- Accurately and reliably receive, validate, and route inbound data from affiliate requests to machine learning models.
- Maintain high integration reliability, visibility, and performance across all affiliate channels.
- Make every affiliate successful at integrating with our API by serving as a responsive, knowledgeable technical partner.
- Systematically identify and resolve bugs and gaps in existing integrations.
- Proactively deepen integrations by evolving our API to expose richer capabilities and unlock more inventory.
- Collaborate directly with affiliate partners to expand the volume and quality of traffic received.
- Build visibility and confidence in our data pipeline by documenting, understanding, and monitoring the full data flow.
- Proactively track integration performance and surface issues before they become business problems.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive Backend Engineering Experience.
- Comfort with best practices in Python/FastAPI.
- Experience working with high-throughput real-time systems.
- Experience deploying and operating services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgment for navigating technical conversations with partners of varying sophistication.
- Process orientation and ability to multitask across many simultaneous workstreams.
- Extraordinary eye for detail.
- QA mindset to build and maintain robust testing and validation practices.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with real-time bidding ecosystems (leads, clicks, calls).
