Monarch Money is hiring a Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026). You will take on meaningful challenges that directly support our mission to transform personal finance, collaborating closely with experienced mentors to build new skills and contribute to projects that shape the future of our product.

What You'll Do

• Take on a hands-on, self-driven project that makes a real business impact, decided with your manager and mentor based on your interests and the company’s needs.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related field, with an anticipated graduation year of 2026 or 2027.
• Available to work for 8 weeks during Summer 2026, beginning in June.
• Prior internship experience developing and launching products.
• Experience with modern programming languages (Python, Typescript, Go), frameworks (Django, React, React Native), tools (e.g. Git), and comfort with modern agentic engineering (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor).
• A product-oriented mindset and excitement about building tools that people love.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Interest or experience in areas like cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security tooling, or developer experience (Foundations Team).
• Interest or experience in common AI technologies: LLMs, agents, and evaluations.

Team & Environment

Interns will be placed on one of the following teams: Tracking & Insights, Planning & Advice, Aggregation, Platform/Infrastructure/Security (Foundations), or AI.
