Responsibilities
- Transform design specifications into secure, reliable, and well-tested code with minimal defects
- Develop and enhance the Sportsbook mobile application to ensure an exceptional user experience
- Contribute significantly to improving platform usability and performance
- Write clean, scalable, and high-quality code that meets engineering standards
- Continuously refine system architecture and development processes to increase efficiency and quality
- Solve complex technical challenges using appropriate tools and industry best practices
- Design, develop, and implement robust, high-performing software solutions
- Develop deep expertise in specific product areas and underlying technologies
- Create maintainable and extensible code that adheres to established standards
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure code reliability and stability
- Balance user needs with technical and team requirements
- Actively engage in code reviews, design sessions, planning meetings, and performance metric evaluations
- Lead initiatives to enhance software quality and development workflows
- Diagnose and resolve root causes of technical issues, improving long-term maintainability
- Provide accurate estimates for tasks and consistently meet delivery deadlines
- Stay current with evolving industry standards and open-source technologies
- Maintain a humble, self-directed mindset with a strong drive to learn and challenge conventions
- Take ownership of both existing and newly developed code, ensuring its integrity and quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in mobile application development and maintenance
- Hands-on experience with React and React Native for mobile application development
- Knowledge of native mobile development using Kotlin or Swift
- Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency with GitOps methodologies and workflows
- Experience using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or BuildKite
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms, particularly AWS
- Understanding of AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, and serverless architectures
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Working knowledge of SQL databases
- Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Familiarity with development tools including Git, GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and OpenAPI for API documentation
- Ability to convert functional requirements into technical designs and working applications
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Proven track record of promoting operational excellence and engineering best practices

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $116,000 - $152,250 USD, depending on experience, location, and business needs. Includes long-term incentives such as stock program participation, as well as eligibility for annual and short-term performance-based bonuses.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid work model with office locations in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Jersey City, Canada, and Scotland. Employees may be required to perform additional duties as needed to support business needs.
