TwoWay is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to contribute directly to our product used by top-tier EU and US financial institutions. You will report directly to the CTO, work on real features, contribute to core product decisions, and ship production code while collaborating with senior engineers, product designers, and founders.
What You'll Do
- Build and improve core features of our web application, from backend logic to frontend UI.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new components and APIs.
- Collaborate with the product team to understand user needs and translate them into clean, maintainable code.
- Write tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
- Investigate and fix bugs in a fast-paced production environment.
- Learn best practices in software development, DevOps, and product iteration in a startup setting.
What We're Looking For
- Comfortable working across the stack with experience or strong interest in modern frameworks like SvelteKit on the frontend and NestJS or Node.js on the backend.
- Energized by startups, learning quickly, taking initiative, and iterating fast in a dynamic, high-growth setting.
- Pays attention to UI/UX consistency, performance, and believes the best software feels as good as it works.
- Understands the importance of clean code, maintainability, and security, even when moving fast.
- Asks questions, seeks feedback, and backs decisions with evidence. Not afraid to challenge assumptions.
- Explains technical ideas clearly, asks for help when needed, and enjoys collaborating with product and design peers.
