Dandy is looking for a Software Engineer II, DevEx Engineer to join our team in Mexico. You will focus on boosting developer productivity and happiness by building the tools, processes, and infrastructure that form the foundation of our engineering workflow.
What You'll Do
- Evolve our CI/CD platforms to provide faster, more reliable feedback loops to engineers.
- Build and own the internal tooling, build systems, and local development environments.
- Identify and integrate cutting-edge tools and practices, including AI-powered assistants.
- Autonomously lead well-defined, multi-month projects that deliver clear improvements to the team's productivity and technical quality.
- Collaborate closely with product engineering teams to understand pain points and deliver solutions.
- Champion and implement best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying opportunities for high-impact improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a focus on developer experience, infrastructure, or CI/CD.
- Strong proficiency with CI/CD systems such as BuildKite, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- A collaborative, customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for helping other engineers succeed.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal developer platforms or portals.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- Familiarity with observability platforms (e.g., Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana).
