About the Role

NVIDIA is hiring a Software Engineer II to join Medtronic Patient Care Systems (PCS). You will build the connected ecosystem for cardiac device monitoring and management, designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable software that transforms cardiac data into clinical insights to improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, test, debug, and document integrated solutions and enhance existing components to ensure software meets business needs and regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions to technology leadership.
  • Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity.
  • Demonstrate ownership of software features and drive development of the features through SDLC.
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code meets coding best practices, unit testing, security, scalability, and maintainability guidelines.
  • Contribute and apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve complex technical problems.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team, including recognizing areas for improvement and working with others to develop and document process improvements.
  • Collaborate on the design with other team members and product owners, both inside and outside of the team and with internal and external partners across various geographies.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 8 degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Angular, C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, Typescript, HTML, Browser Dev Tools, and CSS/SCSS.
  • Experience with Web API, WCF, and Microservices.
  • Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes Compute Platform.
  • Experience with SQL SERVER and NoSQL Database.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience with NUnit and Mock frameworks for unit and component testing.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git and Github.
  • Understanding of Pipelines CI/CD Concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of software design, development, debug, and test practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency working in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AzDo, AzDo Pipelines, and YAML.
  • Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger and OpenAPI.
  • Experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube.
  • Experience with security scanning tools such as Contrast and JFrog X-Ray.
  • Experience with observability tools such as ELK and Dynatrace.
  • Experience in software design for medical devices.
  • Demonstrated skills in writing engineering documents (specifications, etc.).
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Behavior-Driven Development.
  • Experience in Open Source development platform/tools.
