Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation) is hiring a Software Engineer II to advance the future of interactive entertainment. In this role, you will lead the translation of novel concepts into functional prototypes and architect the underlying software systems that power them.
What You'll Do
- Lead cross-functional software innovation projects to move concepts into prototypes.
- Architect and design scalable, flexible, and high-performance software systems.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- One (1) year of experience in the technology industry developing immersive interactive experiences using real-time 3D engines and spatial frameworks.
- Experience building interactive prototypes involving real-time rendering and non-standard input/output systems.
- Experience writing briefs and presenting concepts and technologies in Figma and PowerPoint.
- Experience testing and evaluating prototype experiences using Javascript and web-based 3D libraries.
- Experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams in early-stage product development using Unity.
- Experience integrating and optimizing emerging software and hardware tools with Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Experience implementing responsive user interaction systems with experimental patterns.
- Experience executing test protocols and prototype iteration cycles.
- Experience applying machine learning concepts and cloud-based training pipelines to perform motion data segmentation and gesture classification.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $163,700 – $245,500 per year.
Work Mode
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is located in San Mateo, CA.
