RouteSmart Technologies Inc is hiring a Software Engineer to design, code, and support a suite of web applications and services, including complex cross-platform routing systems with GIS and mapping functionality. You will be a key contributor to our back-end development efforts.

What You'll Do

Write well-structured, testable, and efficient code using development best practices.
Identify and resolve errors in code to ensure application stability.
Design and construct database objects such as tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
Create back-end services for web designers to use in building web products.
Write DML SQL commands, functions, and scripts.
Research new industry coding standards to improve the team's ability to build secure, high-quality, high-performance applications.

What We're Looking For

Fundamental knowledge of multi-tiered, multi-threaded, and multi-user applications.
Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, etc.) and writing basic database queries.
Understanding of web application security and code development best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field.
Experience with C# and .NET Core development using Visual Studio and other Microsoft development tools.
3+ years minimum experience as a programmer writing server-side components.
Must reside within 50 miles of Melville, NY or Columbia, MD and be available to work onsite several days per week (hybrid), or be domiciled in an approved remote state.
Legal authorization to permanently live and work in the United States.
