Applause is looking for a Software Engineer (Frontend) to join our engineering team. You will work directly with the lead developer/co-founder to implement frontend features and functionality based on clear requirements. Success means delivering high-quality, well-tested code that integrates seamlessly with our existing systems.

What You'll Do

Implement frontend features using React.js and JavaScript based on provided specifications.
Follow established coding conventions, patterns, and architectural guidelines.
Conduct thorough manual QA and testing of implemented features before submission.
Read and understand detailed requirements, asking clarifying questions when needed.
Collaborate with the lead engineer to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to Applause's engineering standards.
Participate in code reviews with a focus on learning and consistency.
Debug and troubleshoot issues methodically and thoroughly.
Document implementation details and testing procedures as needed.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience with JavaScript and React.js.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality.
Excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions.
Proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications.
Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies.
Strong reading comprehension and ability to ask clarifying questions.
Self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment.
Based in the Philippines.
