Grab is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Demand Experiences team. You will build and maintain the platforms used by all business lines within Grab for reward and promotional capabilities. Reporting to an Engineering Manager II, you will execute projects through their full lifecycle in an onsite role located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
What You'll Do
- Work with product and design teams to understand requirements, provide feedback, and own and implement products from start to finish.
- Participate in technical discussions with other engineering teams and contribute ideas.
- Write reusable, scalable, and testable code to deliver products on time with high quality.
- Collaborate with QAs to ensure product requirements are met and deployments are stable.
- Review code from other team members, provide constructive feedback, and raise the engineering bar.
- Improve the codebase and propose better engineering solutions for the team.
- Be responsible and responsive during on-call duty, debugging and troubleshooting production issues.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering within a distributed systems environment.
- Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
- Programming skills in any language combined with a willingness to work on Golang.
- A passion for building products, features, and platforms to accelerate business growth.
