Amplify Education Inc. is looking for a Software Engineer for our fully remote engineering team. You will build elegant and flexible systems for our learning platform, focusing on impactful tools for literacy assessments.
What You'll Do
- Build high-quality, robust, and scalable software solutions for Amplify's learning platform.
- Develop code across front-end and back-end components, including automated tests and related tooling.
- Review code from other engineers on the team.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to develop, manage, and monitor deployment processes and infrastructure.
- Ensure software meets the needs of all students and works reliably in real classrooms through proactive testing and monitoring.
- Participate in a collaborative learning environment within Amplify Engineering, including reviewing code and participating in learning sessions.
What We're Looking For
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or training.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Understanding of good software design and modern software engineering practices.
- Understanding of modern frontend and backend web technologies.
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience working within complex systems and large code bases.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and engage in self-driven learning.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts verbally and in writing.
- A passion for working on education products and a desire to make them more equitable and accessible.
Nice to Have
- Experience with web technology and our tech stack is a bonus but not required.
