ICEYE is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Product Engineering to build software that transforms our proprietary radar satellite data into trusted, usable products. You will work at the intersection of product, science, and engineering, shipping complete features that enable near-real-time monitoring of natural and man-made events.
What You'll Do
- Ship product value end-to-end.
- Turn ambiguous problems into small, testable increments and get them safely into production.
- Collaborate daily with Product, SAR scientists, ML/GIS colleagues, and other engineers.
- Build for supportability and reliability.
- Participate in the team's on-call and incident response rotation.
- Improve operability with better alerts, dashboards, logs, and runbooks.
- Identify bottlenecks (flaky tests, slow CI, painful local dev) and remove them.
- Reduce recurring toil through automation and better defaults.
- Make pragmatic architecture decisions, preferring reversible, incremental choices.
- Apply patterns (modularization, strangler approaches, event-driven components) to keep change easy.
- Document key decisions with lightweight ADRs.
- Raise the team's bar with thoughtful reviews, pairing, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
- Teach the why behind engineering choices (supportability, flow, maintainability).
Team & Environment
You will work within either dedicated Product Teams (such as those focused on Flood or Wildfire applications) or the foundational Core Analysis Platform team, reporting to an Engineering Manager or Team Lead.

This role is hybrid and based in Espoo, Finland.
