What You'll Do
- With guidance and support, complete well-designed systems of high quality that make appropriate use of technology.
- Develop personal plans and task details for work completion and status communication.
- Maintain currency in technological trends and directions; continually upgrade personal, technical, and IT related skills.
- Participate in and contribute to the investigation of new technology and recommendations for adoption.
- Take ownership of significant components of software development projects under the guidance of a lead or manager.
- Provide operational support for existing systems with a view to optimizing and automating processes.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand use cases and propose technical solutions.
- Utilize Software Development and Data Engineering best practices to drive business process optimization.
What We're Looking For
- Some business understanding of Capital Markets, particularly portfolio management and capital allocation.
- Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of current information systems theories, concepts, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with non-technical end users.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Knowledge of data modelling for transactional and reporting/data analytics systems.
- Experience building and testing ETL processes and Data Pipelines.
- Experience with the following technologies: Python, C#, SQL, MS Power BI, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake.
- Experience with Web Development frameworks (React, Angular).
- Practical experience with Continuous Delivery tools and practices (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins).
- Experience in various software development methodologies and agile practices; Test Automation, Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Services, particularly Azure Compute Services (AKS, Container App Services).
- Experience with Container technologies (ex. Docker) and deployment best practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Financial data providers (ex. Bloomberg, FactSet, Refinitiv).
- Experience utilizing AI tools and solutions to optimize development and delivery processes.
