Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is hiring a Social Media Manager for the ATHENE National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity. You will have the opportunity to build and manage our social media channels from the ground up, shaping how we communicate complex scientific topics. This role offers a high degree of responsibility and creative freedom within a renowned, international institute.
What You'll Do
- Manage and conceptually develop existing social media channels (LinkedIn, Mastodon, Bluesky, YouTube)
- Set up and expand new TikTok and Instagram channels
- Plan, create, and implement social media campaigns and tailored content in a scientific environment
- Create images and videos for various social media channels
- Develop and implement new formats with a focus on current social media trends
- Support trade fairs and events with a focus on social media communication
- Evaluate and report on social media activities, including KPIs
- Derive strategic optimization and positioning measures to further develop the channels
What We're Looking For
- A completed university degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications, media, or social media management
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in social media
- Creativity and a strong sense for target-group-specific content across different platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Confident in content creation: image editing, storytelling, video editing
- Practical experience with design and video tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Express, Premiere), DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Canva
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
- Strong interest in science and in communicating complex topics in a clear and accessible way
